Post-operative autologous transfusion for orthopaedics
Bellovac ABT is a closed, post‑operative wound drainage and autologous blood transfusion system for orthopaedic procedures, in particular hip and knee surgery in adult patients. It collects shed blood from the surgical site and enables controlled reinfusion of the patient’s own blood, helping to maintain haemoglobin levels and reduce exposure to allogeneic (donor) blood transfusion.

By facilitating the use of patients’ own blood, Bellovac ABT supports patient safety, preservation of allogeneic blood stocks and more efficient use of transfusion resources at the hospital.
Closed system design for safety and simplicity
Bellovac ABT provides a fully closed system with triple non‑return valves to protect both patient and staff. No capital equipment is required and, thanks to its dual function as drainage and autotransfusion system, additional wound drainage sets are not needed.
Complete, sterile and ready-to-use
The Bellovac ABT System is supplied sterile and ready to use. Each set contains a trocar and catheter, suction bellows, autotransfusion bag and transfusion set – all intended for single use. A dedicated accessory range allows adaptation to different procedures and institutional protocols.
