Mediplast offers semi-permeable film dressings with a bacterial/viral barrier. The products are available in three versions: as a roll, as a sterile dressing and as a sterile dressing with an absorption pad.
Transparent Dressing Cosmopor
Cosmopor® Transparent is a sterile, adhesive, and transparent wound dressing with an absorbent wound pad. It is suitable for post-operative care of slightly exuding wounds, protection against bacterial penetration, and as a sterile dressing for minor injuries. The semi-permeable polyurethane film is coated with a skin-friendly adhesive. The film prevents skin maceration by allowing free passage of water vapor and gases. The film is waterproof and suitable for use in the shower. The wound pad absorbs wound exudate and does not stick to the wound. The rounded corners of the film dressing prevent it from rolling and allow for reliable adhesion and longer wear time. Cosmopor® Transparent adapts well to body contours and tapering body parts, allowing full freedom of movement. Available in various sizes.
