Bactiseal Catheter Set
The CODMAN® BACTISEAL® Catheters are made of radiopaque (barium-impregnated) silicone tubing and are supplied sterile. BACTISEAL Catheters are subjected to a treatment process by which the silicone tubing is impregnated with rifampin and clindamycin hydrochloride. BACTISEAL silicone catheters have been shown in laboratory studies to reduce the colonization of gram positive bacteria on the tubing surface. The quantities of rifampin and clindamycin hydrochloride used to impregnate the catheters are only a small fraction of a therapeutic dose of these two antibiotics, and have no potential for any systemic therapeutic effect. The ventricular catheter has an inner diameter of 1.4 mm and an outer diameter of 2.7 mm. The catheter is 14 cm in length and is supplied with 24 inlet holes (3 rows of 8 holes) at the proximal end. Depth marks have been added to the catheter (one dot at 5 cm and two dots at 10 cm). A stainless steel stylet and right angle adapter are packaged with the ventricular catheter. The peritoneal catheter has an inner diameter of 1.0 mm and an outer diameter of 2.2 mm. One end of the catheter has a beveled tip and the other end of the catheter has a flat tip. The catheter is 120 cm long and may be trimmed to the proper length

Distal Catheter Introducer
The Disposable Catheter Passer is a length of malleable stainless steel tubing encasing a nylon leader. One end of the leader is a clasp designed to grasp the end of a catheter in order to lead it through the stainless steel tubing. A removable nylon handle holds the leader clasp in place when the Disposable Catheter Passer is used for tunneling subcutaneously. A tapered nylon tip protruding from the stainless steel tubing at the opposite end of the leader assists in subcutaneous tunneling. The Disposable Catheter Passer is individually packaged, six units per case, and is available in three lengths

Holter Ventricular Cath Right Angle
The HOLTER® Ventricular Catheters are made of bariumimpregnated radiopaque silicone rubber tubing with a nominal l.D. of 1.5 mm and a nominal O.D. of 3.1 mm. See Figure 1 for linear dimensions. The straight catheter is normally used with a ventriculostomy reservoir; the right-angle catheters may be connected directly to the HOLTER Valve. The tip of each catheter has multiple perforations. A 16 cm stylet is supplied for use in placing the catheter.
